About Me : My interest in intercultural education comes from personal experience: I was raised in Canada, France and Thailand, and completed my secondary studies as a dorm student at the British International School, Phuket. Since then I have attended McGill University in Montreal and Stellenbosch University in South Africa, and worked at international schools in Chile and Chiang Mai. Having been a part of KIS Jeju's dorm program since its first year, I feel great pride in our students' continued progress and participation in our community!
About Me : Developing global leaders involves providing guidance to students both in the classroom and in their personal growth outside of the classroom. This is the second time I have been involved in helping to develop a culture with a values-based education. The opportunity to be a part of something special is one of the main reasons I returned to Korea. Having lived and taught in Korea from 1997-2001, I gained an understanding of the values of Korean culture; and having married into that culture, I have continued to learn about and appreciate the strength of the Korean character. From last year, I could see the growth in our students and their understanding in the importance of their own personal growth. This is why I am so excited about the possibilities that lay ahead of them this year!
About Me : I grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a town called Blue Bell, and I will always consider that to be my home. After high school at Germantown Academy Prepatory School I attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where I studied computer science and psychology. I enjoy sports, movies, and making people laugh, and I believe that my happiness lies in the happiness of others. I am excited to make a positive impact here at KIS Jeju!

This is my second year at KIS Jeju and I am ecstatic to be returning as a dorm specialist for the Grade 11 boys. I am have an extended background in education, including studying and/or teaching music for the better part of 15 years. My passion for music is what drove me to be in education and it is a pleasure to share that with the students. On a day-to-day basis, the students at KIS Jeju have helped me learn, grow, and given me a beautiful perspective on Korean culture. For now, Jeju is my home and I hope to bring some midwest Kansan flavor to the melting pot that is our school.
About Me : My passion for wandering and adventure stems from my childhood where I traveled from Hesperia, California, my birthplace, to Nevada to Tennessee and ultimately to Trenton, Georgia, with a dash of Maine on the side. I spent my time outside in the woods discovering myself and discovering the wonder that is the world around around me. I entered into college at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA, originally as a nursing major before discovering Outdoor Education and converting to something closer to my heart. This is my second year at KIS Jeju and so far it's been quite the adventure. I have the heart of a wanderer and high hopes for this second year, and so far I haven't been disappointed. My goal is to continue to connect with students, share many more adventures, and continue to grow here on Jeju. "Not all those who wander are lost." – J.R.R. Tolkien

I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for me at KIS Jeju.
