Julia Reynen is from London, Ontario, Canada, but most recently worked in Jakarta, Indonesia. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification from The College of New Jersey, a bachelor’s degree in Primary/Junior Education from OISE, University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University, Canada. Julia joined KISJ in 2017–18.


I think everyone should read… anything by acclaimed author Malcolm Gladwell; I particularly enjoyed Outliers, and more recently, David and Goliath.

Outside of school, I most enjoy… being active and exploring new places, as well as being in awe of the great outdoors.  

I'm inspired by… the resilience of others.

Bryan Keith is from Baltimore, Maryland, but most recently worked in Shanghai China. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree of Science in Physical Education from Towson University, and joined KISJ in 2016.

Paul Boland is from St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, but most recently worked in Geoje, South Korea. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History and a Bachelor of Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He is currently undertaking a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Paul joined KISJ in 2017–18.

Outside of school, I most enjoy… ice hockey, golf, and camping with my family and friends.

Mark Breckell was born and raised in  New Hampshire before attending Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. He taught and coached in Florida and Egypt before joining KISJ in 2014.

Stacy Breckell is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and still visits every summer to see family. She holds a Bachelor of Educational Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Elementary Education and Middle School Math from Avila University. Stacy joined KISJ in 2014, following four years at Cairo American College in Egypt.

Outside of school, I most enjoy… relaxing at the beach, eating sushi, traveling to new destinations, and spending time with my husband and son.

Derek Cour was born and raised in a suburb of Seattle, Washington (go Seahawks!), and spent seven years teaching internationally in Dubai. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance with a teaching certification and a master’s degree in Wind Conducting, both from Central Washington University.

Eric Kunik was born in Saginaw, Michigan but moved to Phoenix, Arizona after college and joined KISJ from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He holds a Masters of Arts in Education Counseling from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Eric joined KISJ in 2016.

Mandy Lindsay, a career educator is from Queensland, Australia and  has lived and worked in the USA,the U.K., China, and the Republic of Nauru. She holds a Master’s degree in Education (Learning Support/Special Needs/ESL) and a Bachelor of Education in Literacy, both from the University of Queensland; a Diploma of Teaching - K-12 from the Queensland Institute of Technology; and a TESOL Certificate IV. Mandy joined KISJ in 2016.

I think everyone should read… Poetry and nothing beats a classic such as Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen!

Outside of school, I enjoy… being creative, social and active. Learning new things, meeting new people and visiting new places keeps me busy.
