Junior Kindergarten/Kindergarten Faculty

 

 

Sandra Fox, Junior Kindergarten

 

Sandra Fox is from New Zealand. Prior to KISJ, she worked  in Qatar in the middle east. She holds a Bachelor of Education in early years education, from The University of Otago, in New Zealand. Sandra joined KISJ in 2019.

I think everyone should read The Wonky Donkey By Craig Smith. The message in this story is, not only is it ok, but it is cool to be different!

Outside of school, I most enjoy spending time with my rescue dog, Arlo, going for walks, taking photos, and traveling the world.

I am inspired by kindness, personal challenges and setting goals to be the best version of myself. 

 

 

Ashley Doucette Pilles, Kindergarten 

 

Ashley Doucette Pilles is from Tamworth, Ontario but most recently worked on the northwest coast of British Columbia and in Guangzhou, China before that. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Emily Carr University and a Bachelor of Education in early childhood and primary education from Queen’s University in Canada. Ashley joined KISJ in 2022.

 

I think everyone should read Du iz Tak? by Carson Ellis and Quiet by Susan Cain.

 

Outside of school I most enjoy spending time with my kids, going on adventures, cooking and eating delicious food, knitting, drawing, and making things out of clay.

 

I am inspired by my family, kindness, art, and the natural world!

 

 

Ashley Howe, Kindergarten

 

Ashley Howe is from Barrie Ontario Canada but most recently worked in Kuwait.  She holds a bachelor's degree in Education from Western Ontario University and a bachelor's degree in Communications from Wilfrid Laurier University.  Ashley joined KISJ in 2020.

I think everyone should read Good Night Stories from Rebel Girls: 100 Tales of Extraordinary Women.

Outside of school, I most enjoy reading, outdoor family adventures, crafting and creating with my two girls, yoga and playing ultimate frisbee.

I'm inspired by mostly family and friends but I also find inspiration in little everyday moments.

 

 

Ji Hee Moon (Anna), Junior Kindergarten Teaching Assistant 

 

Ji Hee Moon (Anna) is from Jeju, but most recently worked in the Philippines and Beijing , China at  international schools. She studied English for Tourism, English Literature and is completing a TESOL course. Anna joined KIS in 2019.

I think everyone should read Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney and Lean in by Sheryl Sandberg.

Outside of  school, I most enjoy reading,traveling around the world and going to the movies.

I’m inspired by people who work with a positive attitude in the environment they have been placed in.

 


 

Menchie Jarangdon, Kindergarten Teaching  Assistant

 

Menchie Jarangdon is from the Philippines, who had recently worked in Kuwait.  She holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Northwest Samar State University.  She joined KISJ in 2019.

I think everyone should read the Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling.

Outside of school, I most enjoy watching  K-dramas, reading, and hanging out with friends.
