Dear Parents/Guardians,
Greetings from the KISJ Dorm Office.
To ensure students’ safety and smooth management of off-campus activities, we will operate the 2025–26 Dormitory Leave Request and Check-In System as outlined below. From this school year, the leave request form must be completed by the student rather than the parent/guardian.
This change is intended to foster student autonomy and responsibility. We kindly request your cooperation and understanding.

1. Check-In & Leave System Overview

| School Entry/Exit | Must exit/enter through the main gate and record leave using the leave tag system |

1) Student completes the Leave Request Form

- Students must provide the reason for leave, date & time, and parent/guardian email address.
- If the email address entered does not match the one registered in PowerSchool, the approval email will not be sent to the parent/guardian.
- An approval request email will be sent to the parent/guardian email provided in the form.
- Clicking the approval button in the email completes the first stage of approval.
- After parent/guardian approval, the dorm advisor or dorm office will review the request.
- If the leave is not approved, we will contact you directly.
- Leave requests must be fully approved by the parent/guardian at least 48 hours before departure (emergency cases may be exempt).
- Example: Leave on Saturday at 5:00 PM → Parent/guardian approval must be completed by Thursday at 5:00 PM.
- Even for repeated leave with the same purpose, a new leave request form must be submitted each time.
- Grade 12 (Seniors): From the second semester (February), return is permitted until 22:00 on both weekdays and weekends.
- High School (Grades 9–11): Depending on the situation, return may be permitted until 21:00 with dorm advisor or dorm office approval.
- Leave is conducted based on the agreement of both the student and parent/guardian.
- The school will make every effort to ensure student safety through prior approval procedures and safety guidance.
- However, situations occurring during leave may be beyond the school’s direct control.
- Inappropriate behavior during leave (e.g., smoking, alcohol consumption, violence) will be subject to dormitory disciplinary action.
